About

We are Jim and Marian Davenport from Fort Worth, Texas and have recently begun full time travel in our Jayco Insignia Motorhome. We’ve met many wonderful people and find the full time lifestyle appealing. Our working years took us to Kansas City, MO, Dodge City, KS, Omaha, NE, Hoffman Estates, IL, Rockford, IL, Camdenton, MO, Fort Worth, TX, and an overseas stay in Burgess Hill, England for about 16 months. We are somewhat comfortable moving around and flexible to change.

I (Jim) worked in the finance business, had an aircraft charter business, flew as both a charter pilot and corporate pilot and was Chief Pilot for Newell Rubbermaid Corporation. I then flew as a contract pilot and finally spent several years training pilots in Falcon Aircraft for both CAE SimuFlite and Flight Safety.

I (Marian) have many hobbies but my passion is teaching the Bible, ministering to and discipling women. I am currently teaching through writing. My devotions can be read in the Love’s Devotions portion of the blog.

We met in Kansas City, Missouri when Jim came home from Vietnam and Marian was working as a fashion model. We’ve been married forty-four years and have four children and six grandchildren. We both were involved in Gateway Church in Fort Worth, TX and are excited to see what God will do as we in faith follow His leading. We love to share how God has blessed us and is the source for all of our needs.

  1. Jim and Marian, Anita and I enjoyed seeing you last night at the reunion. From the information above (About), I note, Jim, that you were a professional pilot. Although, I don’t have the experience you have, I did fly personally with a commercial pilots license for many years. My experience was all piston, from Piper Turbo Arrow to Malibu Mirage. Flying was a wonderful part of my life. I would have enjoyed hearing your story. Best regards to you both. Chip
